Women’s coats for a very Royal look

Women’s coats for a very Royal look

Whether you have a baby bump to keep warm like Meghan Markle or want to be rebellious like Diana, we’re off to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard… and this winter’s must-wear coats.

Parkas for an army look, and much more...

Definitely the “It-piece” of the winter, the women’s parka can be worn very casually with jeans and trainers, or with a Liberty dress and leather boots. Our favourite is the mid-length army-style parka with its fake fur (of course) and rock-style jewelled studs. Its lining and hood are removable, so it’s practical at every turn. Whether it’s freezing or mild, in London or anywhere in France, you will look very imperial.

Pea jackets and capes, the ultimate classics

British chic heritage items, enough to make any woman pale with envy, the pea jacket and cape come in a military style this season. The pea jacket is worn mid-length and fitted, to accentuate your waist and cover your hips, while the sleeveless wool cape livens up your look with its short cut. What they have in common is the officer buttons, like on the Horse Guards Parade, but without the famous Busby!

Coats play around with prints and conventions

The genuine all-purpose item in the wardrobe, although never relegated to a mere extra, the women’s coat goes with any look. Plain and elegant structured coats obviously keep you warm, but they can also add an imaginative touch. Tweed, patches, Prince of Wales check or leopard – our prints are stylishly mixed this season.

Padded jackets create a dynamic look

The padded jacket is perfect for those chilly mornings. Not just for skiing holidays, in 2018 they also embody urban elegance. Wear on its own for a sport chic look or under a coat, like a sweater.
